Located in Temple Bar , the Irish Film Institute (IFI) shows alternative movies (both Irish and International).

Membership is available at the very reasonable price of €20 (€15 for students, unemployed or seniors). Membership includes: 10% discount on tickets price for the member and three guests, monthly programme posted to home address, 10% reduction on food purchases at the restaurant and 10% discount in the IFI shop.

- Restaurant:

It is also a very nice place to go to food or for a coffee as quality is excellent and prices are very reasonable. Usually packed on Saturdays and Sundays.

Dublin Marathon

The Dublin marathon took place last 29th of October. On its 28th edition, almost 11,000 athletes from 52 different countries took part on the event.

Race was won by Russian athlete Aleksey Sokolov in an impressive time (course record) of 2:09:07. His compatriot Alina Ivanova completed the race in 2:29:20. Both athletes retained their titles as they also won in 2006.

First Irish athletes were Michael O'Connor with a final time of 2:25:48 and Pauline Curley who completed the marathon in 2:42:30.
